[AB#2] Men’s cinema: Masculinity and mise-en-scène in Hollywood

Masculinity and mise-en-scène in Hollywood provides the study of masculinity and film style. Bruzzi prepares review of masculinity scholarships in attempt to convey a different approach towards her take on the topic. Men’s Cinema states that Mise-En-Scene influences how Hollywood portrays men and masculinity. Ultimately, this book organised by case studies that illustrate trends and aspects of men in cinema. I chose Men’s Cinema because I admire the method Bruzzi uses to reveal how Hollywood crafts gender configuration. This book can challenge filmmakers to be more innovative in building a world around characters.
